Hey - it’s Captain Taylor.

Having grown up fishing pond shores and out of John boats in central Florida, I admittedly got a late start to fishing the famed Mosquito Lagoon, but from the first time I laid line down on a glassy flat I was hooked. Devoting every spare minute of the last decade trying to tie the perfect fly, build the perfect rod, and throw a perfect cast. Falling in love with the estuary, the chase and the pursuit of perfection.

Once I found myself on the high side of the skiff, I learned that I enjoyed putting people on fish just as much as I love catching them. Leading to the creation of Back Cast Guide Company.

What to bring

Polarized sunglasses are a must! If you have your favorite rod and reel please feel free to bring it along too. Proper clothing depending on the weather, snacks/drinks, sun screen, and your lucky rabbit’s foot. 

Try and keep carry-ons minimal to keep plenty of room for fishing, and to keep weight down on the skiff. And if you can do so, please avoid wearing black soled shoes as they can mark up the boat and those marks are difficult to clean up.  

Just a heads up

With numerous locations to launch throughout the lagoon, before your trip we will be in communication to determine the best place to launch.

A $100 deposit is due within 7 days of booking. The remainder may be paid via Venmo, PayPal or Cash. Should you need to cancel your charter, you may do so up to 48 hours before your scheduled trip for a full refund of your deposit. Cancellations made within 48 hours of your charter will result in loss of $100 deposit. Capt. Taylor Belinger reserves the right to cancel the trip at his discretion due to poor and unsafe weather condition; should this happen, you will receive a full refund of your deposit.
